BIOGRAPHY

I am a native Californian born in Ventura County who completed primary school in Los Angeles County (Long Beach Woodrow Wilson and Polytechnic High Schools, PACE magnet program). After obtaining my engineering degree on the East Coast I eventually found myself back in the County of my birth.

My first professional job was with a small non-profit research company working on fuels combustion research that focused heavily on pollution control. While in that first job I obtained training in USEPA source testing methods. My career then moved directly into the air quality field working at an air pollution control district in California. After this I worked at two large engineering firms in their environmental departments working on a variety of environmental subjects including obtaining 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, and then for the past 25 plus years I've worked with environmental consulting firms where my work was focused on air quality and greenhouse gas emissions/climate change.

On a personal note, in younger days I enjoyed playing softball and volleyball, both hardcourt and sand. I am a live long kegler who has bowled three sanctioned 300 games.
